Hey, on your info pages you did a stint on Kidd Video (a very kewl
cartoon from the 80's, I might add). Is there any way you could get
your hands on the Kidd Video theme music for me? Or send me to a
website that has it? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in
advance for your time.
Fetch

Hi Fetch,

I encoded the theme for you in RealAudio. You can hear it by clicking here - Kidd Video. Hope you enjoy it.

My husband and I were born in 1950 so your site brings back a LOT of
memories. Great stuff! My husband remembers a cartoon villain named
"Isotope Feeney" but can't remember which show he was on. Any help you
can give us will be greatly appreciated!

Your site is WAY COOL. I can hardly wait for the cable internet lines
to reach my neighborhood so I can listen to the themes without waiting
forever for my 14.4 modem to download them.... Oh, well!
Thanks for the memories!
Lion Rowley

I'm glad you enjoyed the pages.

Isotope Feeney was a villain on the Tom Terrific cartoons which originally appeared on Captain Kangaroo in the late 50's. Above is an image of Tom, Mighty Manfred and Isotope Feeney. I hope you and your husband enjoy it. You can find out more about Tom Terrific at The Toon Tracker Terrytoons Page.

A source for Classic Cartoons on video... I am especially intested in,"Out Of The Inkwell".

Thank You Very Much!!!
Joseph Yutzy

Hi Joseph,

A great source for Classic Cartoons on video is Facet's Whole Toon Catalog. You can contact them for a free catalog at 1-800-331-6197.

Republic Pictures Home Video released a tape in their Silent Classics series back in 1992 featuring Koko the Clown from Out of the Inkwell. The catalog number was VHS 8210. It may still be available. It featured 10 silent cartoons originally released between 1927 and 1929.

Good Luck!

I have been trying to find the cartoon Dr.Snuggles and I haven't found anything yet. Do you know where on the web I might find it. Your help is appreciated.
Thanks

Hi Michelle, I honestly don't think he was on the web, but he IS now:

Doctor Snuggles was a kindly old inventor who spent his time helping all the creatures in Snug Wood, traveling about via his pogo stick. The cartoon was conceived and created by Jeffrey O'Kelly and first appeared in syndication on September 12, 1981. It was a Kidpix, Inc. production and featured Peter Ustinov as the voice of Snuggles.

I hope this helps you.

Do you have info on how to get Tobor the 8th man videos?
HELP!

There are currently four videos of Tobor the 8th Man available. Each tape is 120 minutes long and contains 5 episodes apiece.

Two sources for the video are Anime and Manga Mall and Facets Whole Toon Catalog (1-800-331-6197)

Hi jinxi,

Jinksy was a name that Pixie and Dixie, two mice, used to refer to their cat companion, the Mr. Jinks character in the Pixie and Dixie shorts. See the answer to the next question for further details and a picture.

What a great page! I hope you can help me.

I am trying to find the name of the cat that used to say "I hate those meeces to peeces". A colleague has told me that it was Mr Jinx referring to Pixie and Dixie. However, I can not find any pictures of Mr Jinx. Can you help?
Thanks a lot
Carl

Hi Carl,

Your colleague was correct. It was Mr. Jinks referring to Pixie and Dixie. The cartoon shorts, produced by Hanna-Barbera, first appeared in 1958 as a component of The Huckleberry Hound Show. Don Messick provided the voice of Pixie, and Daws Butler did the voices of Dixie and Mr. Jinks. (Thanks to Jon Cooke for the correct spelling of Jinks!!)

There's a page on the internet, in Portuguese, devoted toPixie and Dixie from Kywal Graphics. In the meantime, here's a picture of the trio:

Now here are two questions regarding Tooter Turtle and Mr. Wizard:

hello my friend
I hope you can help! I am looking for info. on a cartoon that was on tv in the late 50 early 60's. The show featured a turtle and a wizard i think the turtles name was tuter turtle.

HELP me mr. wizard
thank you
John Luckey

Hi John,

Tooter Turtle and Mr. Wizard were originally part of The King Leonardo and His Short Subjects series, titled The King and Odie in syndication.

For more information and pictures check out Toon Tracker's King and Odie Page.

From: jmorgon@anacomp.com (Judy Morgon)
I am looking for the entire text the Wizard used when he brought the turtle back from his adventure.

Turtle: "Help, Mr. Wizard! I don't wanna be a 'chemist' anymore!" Wizard: "Drizzle, drazzle, druzzle, drome, time for this one to come home! Blah, blah, blah..... be happy with what you is and not with what you is not."

Can you fill in the blanks or do you know when I can find a recording of this cartoon?

Thanks a bunch,
Jude

Hi Judy,

Mr. Wizard's closing lines changed from episode to episode. Some were very brief and just basically called Tooter back home, without Mr. Wizard's philosophical "be happy...".

Click HERE to hear the brief closing in RealAudio. I'll keep searching through my collection and see if I can come up with the longer version.
