OFF TO SEE THE WIZARD
(September 8, 1967 - September 20, 1968 ABC-TV)
OFF TO SEE THE WIZARD, which aired Friday nights at 7:30 PM ET on ABC-TV, was an anthology series that featured animated versions of the Wizard of OZ leads to introduce the episodes each week. The episodes included family oriented movies from the MGM library, nature documentaries, TV pilots, and original programming. The series never did show the original "Wizard Of OZ" movie because the television rights were held by CBS-TV in 1967 and NBC-TV in 1968.
